founded by ICMA-RC, provides scholarships to the surviving children and spouses of US city, county, and state public employees* who have died in service to their communities. Applicants must enroll in and attend an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school on a full-time basis. High school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students are eligible to apply.
*Students must provide a letter from the deceased employee’s place of work verifying his or her employment and line of duty death.
Awards are determined based on merit and financial need.
